Unexpected, intimate, reflective, and consciously aware.
How do we meet each other in public spaces?
What are encounters, and how do we deal with them?
What do encounters do to us? How do we approach them?
Do we accept them?
What phases do we go through in encounters?
Encounters are an essential part of our lives and shape our experiences in many different ways.
They influence our thinking, expand our horizons, and enrich our existence in countless facets.
Within our spatial installation, we treat the encounter as a practice in public space –
an abstract reconstruction of the phases we go through during encounters.
These phases are divided into three stages: SICHTBARKEIT, INTERAKTION und AUSTAUSCH
(Visibility, Interaction, and Exchange).
Through live-video transmitting media and selected audio interviews on the theme of encounters,
we made this concept possible, tangible, and tangible as an experiment with the visitors.
Not only was the Reinraum e.V., its architecture, and history the basis of our concept
development, but its spaces also highlighted the exhibition and the three phases.
